Dr. Robyn Dean is among the few worldwide to hold a PhD in Translation & Interpreting (Heriot-Watt University). She also has several years of experience with the National Center for Deaf Health Research at the University of Rochester. Her passion is evidenced by the Translation and Interpreting Theory course she designed and now teaches at Rochester Institute of Technology.

Nigel, a renowned professor of Linguistics at the University of British Columbia and the University of Victoria, has nearly three decades of extensive experience in ASL translation and interpretation.

Among his vast body of interpreting and translation experience, his work with the United Nations has helped him hone his ability to navigate complex linguistic scenarios.

Katiewu, a CDI holding a BS in Deaf Education, is a linguistics teacher and nationally recognized expert in legal interpreting. She also has decades of experience in sign language translation. Her work centers on empowering equitable, linguistically rich access for all members of the Deaf community.

Lamar is a nationally Certified Deaf Interpreter with over 20 years dedicated to advancing and teaching ASL. He brings native fluency and expertise as a translator and instructor.

With a BS in Psychology, Sociology, and Deaf Studies, he has provided vital communication in classrooms, courtrooms and healthcare facilities. He serves both Deaf individuals and professionals while fostering greater appreciation for ASL.

Cody is among the most seasoned Deaf ASL translators in the United States, with nearly two decades of experience leading Deaf-hearing translation teams. Raised using English and Signed Exact English, he didn’t learn ASL until high school—an experience that sharpened his command of both languages and gives him a uniquely bilingual perspective. Today, he combines vivid visual storytelling with rigorous translation principles to champion equal, culturally faithful access to information for Deaf audiences.

Wilfredo is a nationally certified tri-lingual interpreter with some 24 years of professional experience spanning telecommunications, medical and educational settings.

Passionate about the power of visual communication, he has spent more than a decade collaborating closely with ASL translators to ensure linguistic accuracy and cultural resonance.

Mathew brings more than 30 years of experience in both live interpretation and the nuanced work of preparing accurate, culturally appropriate ASL translations.

He has also supported numerous teams over the years, offering guidance on translation quality, and is widely respected for his ability to break down complex ideas and for his high standards when it comes to language and message integrity.

Andrew is an experienced ASL interpreter with over two decades of professional practice in diverse settings. He holds a BEI certification and has an extensive background including significant work translating for an international ASL audience.

Currently serving as Translation Lead at Cirrus, Inc., he spearheads ASL translation projects and serves as chair of the Cirrus Translation Advisory Committee.
